The emergency birthday celebration of Hon. (Barr.) Lolo Isaiah Opuende, the honourable member representing Akuku-Toru Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly, took place in his absence at his official residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The event was attended by a large number of stakeholders, friends, and associates, both in the constituency and those accompanying the Honourable who were celebrating with him in the United Kingdom. Notably, Hon. Ayanate Ephraim, former special physician to His Excellency, Dr. Peter Odili, the former governor of Rivers State, was present in the United Kingdom to celebrate with Hon. Lolo Isaiah Opuende.

The celebration commenced with a heartfelt prayer, acknowledging the importance of good leadership and expressing gratitude to God for bringing Hon. Lolo Isaiah Opuende into this world. Prayers were also offered for the journey and safety of those travelling to attend the event, as well as for the Honourable's well-being and ability to celebrate in the UK.
Following the opening prayers, the event formally began with an emphasis on the purpose of the gathering: to celebrate a great leader who is destined for higher leadership positions not only in Nigeria but also on the African and global stage. Attendees were invited to share their thoughts and experiences of the Honourable's character and achievements.

Mr. Gideon, the Honourable's brother-in-law, praised his accommodating nature and willingness to go above and beyond to help others. He highlighted Hon. Lolo's caring and inclusive approach, expressing gratitude for his presence in their lives and praying for continuous blessings and elevation.

These were the words:

"My name is Gideon, and I'm one of Lolo's brothers-in-law. He's married to my sister."

"I came here in 2021, and in the short period I've spent with him, I know he's someone who's very accommodating, and he's willing to go out of his way to help as much as he can. He takes care of everyone and carries everyone under his umbrella. We appreciate him, and we pray that God will keep blessing him and taking him higher."

Tonte Eleki, a friend from Kula Community, shared personal experiences dating back to their youth and working closely together in politics. He reflected on the Honourable's remarkable ability to connect with people, maintain accessibility, and remain open-minded despite his position and responsibilities. Eleki commended Hon. Lolo for his kindness and highlighted his strong leadership qualities in tackling challenging issues.

"My name is Tonte Eleki, and I'm from Kula as well. So I've known Honourable far back in Kula Community."

"He was my elder brother's friend—very close, for that matter; we literally lived together back then. So from there, our age difference is not that much; we became friends too, even though, from time to time, we are not that close, but we are close to some extent. As time goes on, life brings us together in one place or another."

"I think the very first time we worked closely together was in 2012 and 2013, during our involvement in politics. It was then that we truly understood each other, and I saw how easily he connects with people. He is a very open person. From that time until he became an assembly member, I thought that his position and elevation would change him, that his attitude of openness would diminish, or that he would only socialise with certain classes of people. But he has proven me wrong. He remains accessible to everyone, regardless of their culture, age difference, or any other factor. He is so accessible that sometimes I, who follow him, think he should be more discerning, but he insists on listening to everyone's opinions. He is not only accessible but also very kind-hearted, although he is also quite tough when necessary. If you don't know this about him, you would be surprised to see how he deals with strong and challenging issues."

"Overall, I can confidently say that he is a nice person. He always has an open hand; even if he cannot do everything, he will do something. He is a good man. Happy birthday to him!" Says Tonte.

Chief Otomba Tamunosaki, also from Kula, praised Hon. Lolo's humility and accessibility, noting his willingness to listen to and engage with people from all backgrounds, including those from opposing viewpoints. He recognised the honourable's standout qualities and conveyed his well wishes for the birthday celebration.

"My name is Chief Otomba Tamunosaki.Hon. Lolo Opuende possesses the remarkable quality of accessibility. As someone from Kula, I have worked with various individuals and stakeholders, and I have noticed that he is incredibly humble. He never displays any signs of pride and always answers calls, even from the opposition. He is open to hearing their complaints and sharing ideas with them. He stands out among the people we work with in Kula. Happy birthday to him, wherever he may be. We are celebrating with him. Kudos to the Honourable Lolo Opuende." According to Chief Otomba,.

The celebration then moved on to the symbolic cake-cutting ceremony. Although the physical cake was located in Port Harcourt, it was believed that Hon. Lolo's spirit was present with them. The Honourable's children, representing him in his absence, proceeded to cut the cake, symbolising the celebration of his achievements and future endeavours.
In conclusion, the emergency birthday celebration of Hon. Lolo Isaiah Opuende brought together stakeholders, friends, and associates from both within and outside his constituency. The event was filled with heartfelt prayers, testimonies, and a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony. Despite his physical absence, the Honourable was celebrated with great joy and optimism for his future leadership roles.
