When a supposed leader is bereft of vision, it is then not a surprise to why there is conspicuous absence of progress within the walls and realms of his leadership.

This is a vivid example of The case concerning Rivers State, with specific attention on the third-tier of Gov't (our LGAs) that has totally collapsed to almost beyond repair stance!.

Overtime, one wonders, why is it that Gov Wike has vehemently refused to concur to the autonomy of LGAs, and have gone further to lobby other PDP State governors that toes his self-centered parochial line of thought: to intentionally refuse the autonomy of third-tier of government, But rather should persist and continue on a CTC?. Little did we know that it was all rooted from an insincere mind.

We further wondered: Why will Wike keep firing and suspending even the CTCs he managed to constitute?. Again!, little did we know that It was for greed and dubious purposes. It is quite unfortunate, abysmal and counterproductive of proper leadership intent, for a supposed leader to steal from those he is supposed to be Leading.

Even more worrisome is our fear as it bothers on the judiciary. You Will Recall that there is a subsisting matter in court, a matter of democratically elected Chairmen and councillors, duly sworn in on the 26th of May 2015, under the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s leadership. But was treacherously ousted by Gov Wike on his assumption of office, For which They Are contesting in court.

This matter is one that justice has been conspicuously delayed upon, because of it's almost perpetual stance of adjournments. Justice delayed, they say is "justice denied".
It therefore will not be an abnormal or a fallacy of hasty generalization for One to ask, "Is This delay a conspiracy?". Because recent revelations keep having it that, Gov Wike's reason for the sacks, suspensions, maybe, just maybe the continuous delay of the matter in court and the vehement intentional refusal to allow a third-tier of Gov't election, is but for one reason:
"Whenever Wike sack or suspend a CTC, he keeps the allocations for the period to himself". Never for once has he reimbursed the accrued. Clearly, This is an act not worthy of a Leader who sees himself as a servant or one ready to take the people under his leadership to the next level.

The continuous deprivation of allocations, has hitherto kept The LGAs in a state of comatose. Whereas, the third-tier of Gov't is one that concerns the people most, The very heartbeat of a State that deserves desired attentions worthy of monumental developments both in human and physical infrastructures. After all, Charity they say begins at home, But For this administration as led by Gov Wike, It is "hatred begins at home". Such in-depth hatred that has for the two years of this unfortunate administration grossly collapsed the third-tier of government and by extention succeeded in destroying the once Revered treasure base of the nation.

It is quite regrettable that, rather Than experiencing the normal progressive nature of Life, and in this case governance: Where continuum is metamorphosed to steady and consistent progress. A system of governance that does better than the previous government, owing to the fact that It develops on the structures on ground in anticipation to do better.
Alas!, the present administration has done totally otherwise. As we can see, rather than making progress, we are openly shamed with the disgrace and abomination of "the father better and greater than the son".

It is on record that, the last administration made tremendous progress on rural development. Gigantic projects were adequately sited, projects that made impacts you can conspicuously see. For example, the Buguma fish farming was one project that manifested progress, maintained by the LGA, But died on the arrival of this present administration for lack of remittance of funds to the LGA. Projects are kept alive when proper maintenance culture is been practiced. And in practicing such culture, regular dispensing of funds is key. But when funds are consistently denied, such projects dies automatically.

Such is the situation we find ourselves today, Where the governor will fire and suspend CTCs absent a viable cause, and in the process compel them to suffer the following:

1. Deny the LGAs of regular allocations
2. Deny them of Development
3. Proper accountability
4. Absence of adequate productivity and responsibility
5. Administrative lacuna

Gov Wike, has turned the third-tiers of Gov't in Rivers State as not only his ATM machine, But also a channel of settling the mercenaries he used to force his way into the Brick House. No doubt, they will never, neither have they ever bothered about the wellbeing of the people they are sent to lead, or about the physical development of the place. They will say to themselves "After all, It is my reward time, let me covet as much as much as I can".

As at today, workers are at the LGA levels are owed unimaginable number of months salaries. And the governor has vehemently turned blind eyes to such painful situations, obviously because he knows those Monies are in his personal coffers. As a result of these owed salaries, crime rates has not only increased, but parents have turned themselves into cooperate beggers, totally lost their self-esteem and graciously embraced a life absent a hope.

This is totally parochial, and should never be encouraged further. We therefore ask that Gov Wike furnish The public, and indeed Rivers people specifically, with properly articulated account of all allocations as supposed the third-tier of Gov't for the 23 LGAs, from the inception of this administration. With a pointer on the periods of sacks and suspensions.

Obviously we are not ignorant of the truth that, Gov Wike being who he is, will never subject himself to be this transparent, for he has not come to serve, But rather come for the people to serve him. To enslave Rivers people to perpetual poverty, the reason Rivers State seems like a citadel of complete darkness, where the inhabitants daily struggle for direction hence her leadership is blinded of vision.

Rivers people!, though the errors of yesterday cannot be unmade, Yet!, we have today to make tomorrow perfect.
